The Mad Elemental Verse 1 Through twisting halls of ancient stone, The heroes marched with Viper gone. Five companions pressed ahead, Where eerie winds and whispers spread. The corridor bent left and right, Built to break an archer's sight. Scattered bones upon the floor Spoke of those who came before. Then through the darkness came a cry, A howl that seemed to fill the sky. No beast of flesh, no demon's yell, But something born of storm itself. Chorus Hear the wind! Hear the scream! The Mad Elemental unseen! Raging fury, endless storm, No mortal shape, no mortal form! Through the hall its anger flew, Crashing like a hurricane through! Stone and steel were tossed aside, As the heroes fought the tide! Verse 2 A door swung open with a groan, The slightest shift of air was known. The creature sensed the pressure change, And charged with elemental rage. A whirlwind made of wrath and hate, Burst from the guard room like fate. Invisible claws of roaring air Struck the party without care. Zelprime felt the tempest's blow, Hurled against the wall of stone. Arius stumbled, knocked prone, His warhammer nearly thrown. Beroth's robes whipped wildly round, As the storm smashed him to the ground. Even mighty Grog was driven back, His boots scraping across the rock. Chorus Hear the wind! Hear the scream! The Mad Elemental unseen! Raging fury, endless storm, No mortal shape, no mortal form! Against the walls the heroes crashed, Thrown and battered by the blast! The mountain shook beneath the fight, As chaos ruled the endless night! Verse 3 Again the whirlwind struck with force, Driving them hard along its course. The zigzag hall became a trap, No safe retreat, no time to plan. Wizkim tried to find a flank, But the raging tempest never sank. It spun and howled with savage glee, A living storm that would not flee. Arius rose despite the pain, Calling on his faith again. His hammer glowed with sacred light, A beacon in the storm-filled night. Zelprime loosed her arrows true, Though the winds deflected some that flew. Still her aim remained precise, Each shot demanding sacrifice. Verse 4 Beroth stood and raised his hand, Arcane power at command. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled, Matching the elemental's soul. The wizard's spells tore through the gale, Slowly making fury fail. While Grog advanced through wind and pain, Refusing to retreat again. Step by step he forced ahead, Though every breath felt filled with lead. The storm struck hard, yet still he came, A wall of steel against the gale. Then all together, side by side, The heroes turned the battle's tide. Final Chorus Hear the wind! Hear the scream! The Mad Elemental unseen! It hurled them down and drove them back, Yet still they answered every attack! Hammer, arrows, blade and spell, Against the fury of the gale! The storm was broken, rage undone, And victory at last was won! Outro The howling ceased. The winds grew still. Only silence filled the hall. A battered helm lay on the floor, Beside forgotten gear of war. The elemental's rage was gone, Its centuries of madness done. And those who later walked that way Would hear the story travelers say: "The storm threw them against the walls. The storm knocked them to the ground. But Beroth, Zelprime, Wizkim, Arius, and Grog stood together and brought down the Mad Elemental."
