💛 “You Never Stop Loving You” 💛 Verse 1 Mum, we miss your warmth, your love, your laughter, The kind of love that lasts forever after, Dad, those twinkling eyes and gentle way, “How are the kids?” you’d always say. The kettle singing, the kitchen light, Cups of coffee morning and night, Simple moments, nothing grand, Yet they became the heart of our family. Verse 2 Great Yarmouth mornings by the sea, The safest place our hearts could be, Crab sandwiches wrapped up tight, Wind in our faces, hearts feeling light. Arcades flashing along the front, Dad making jokes and acting daft, While Mum sat smiling watching near, Holding onto everything dear. Verse 3 Dad getting dragged on every ride, Pretending he loved it though terror inside 😅 While Mum sat down with coffee and smoke, Laughing away at every joke. Handbag clutched while watching the kids, Making memories in the simple bits, Not knowing back then as time rolled by, Those little moments would make us cry. Verse 4 Breathing in smoke from your cigarette, Funny the things you never forget, The smell of coffee, seaside rain, Old songs drifting through again. The Hacienda pub and jukebox tunes, Sneaking your fags beneath the moon, Off to the nightclub acting sly, But you always knew just by our eyes. Verse 5 No arguments, no hatred there, Just stubbornness beyond compare 😅 That fiery streak we all still hold, A part of you we’ll keep till old. A home full of laughter, warmth, and noise, Love poured freely to your girls and boys, No riches needed, no fancy things, Because love was found in everything.
